Alternate Perspective
For the first official shooting assignment in Digital Photography the class was tasked with shooting pictures through an alternate perspective, including a birds eye view meaning that the photo is taking from a perspective that is higher or above the typical perspective of a normal view making an object look usually smaller. Another perspective used in this assignment was a worms eye view, this means that the photo is taken either closer or below a typical perspective making the picture seem larger than it truly is. Grant shot most of his photos at his home, his favorite photo is the first photo titled "Secrets". He thinks that the lack of focus on the blade of the hatchet shows its dullness while the scuffs leading from the tip of the ax back show leading to the handle.
